Welcome…

My name is Will. I’m an anthropology undergrad, writer, and contemplative grounded in Zen practice—drawn to the intersections of science, mysticism, and the human experience. My work explores the deep structures of nature, morality, and the cosmic order that shapes our lives, delving into questions that reach beyond the surface of daily existence. I’m also a breathwork practitioner, musician, and amateur sound designer, with a growing interest in the physiology and spirituality of healing and wholeness.

I’m especially curious about how we relate to the world—how we breathe, think, and feel—and how these relationships shape our well-being and perception of reality. My writing often explores the physiological and philosophical implications of breath, including the delicate gaseous balances within our bodies and the resonance between breath and mind.

Grounded in an anthropological perspective, I also explore broader social and cultural dynamics: the ideological divides shaping modern life, the limits of scientific observation, and the tension between individuality and collective responsibility. At the core of my work is a drive to uncover the underlying patterns and principles that bring coherence and meaning to both the personal and the universal.

My journey has been shaped by diverse lived experience—from navigating the world through a mind that doesn’t always follow conventional rhythms, to recovering from deep disconnection and chronic injury. I’ve known what it’s like to feel completely untethered—to question whether it was worth continuing. What helped me through were small, intentional practices: breathwork, meditation, freediving—ways of reconnecting with the body, with silence, with a quiet sense of worth. These experiences fuel my curiosity and deepen my insights into the intricate connections between body, mind, and spirit.

Sound is another thread in this weave. In my guided breathwork meditations, I combine rhythm, breath, and resonance to help listeners enter deeper states of relaxation and alignment. You can explore these on my new Breathe page, where sound and breath merge into a sensory experience and guide.

Ultimately, Whills—this site and this practice—is a way of giving shape to what I’ve learned. It’s an offering born of lived experience: a place to share tools, insights, and reflections that may serve those walking their own path of inquiry, healing, and becoming.

This page, like the journey it reflects, is still in its early unfolding—alive, evolving, and finding its form…
